The author possesses some education and experience in the subject matter discussed, but she is NOT a licensed mental health professional or health care provider. I will make every effort to provide well-researched information, where applicable, but new information, techniques, and forms of therapy are being developed further everyday.
This blog, associated writing and creative projects are reflective of my own experience, journey of self-exploration, and efforts to heal my own inner child. Techniques I have used to overcome my challenges, may or may not work for you. I have gone through several years of therapy myself.
Personally, I have benefited the most from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)/Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), components of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, talk therapy, writing, person-centered or existential therapies, and when all else fails, a few random curse words, poetry, dark humor memes, and possibly some inappropriate behaviors that I am learning, I have not completely detoxed from my life.
Please, keep that in mind. I am in a better place than I started at, but life and my mental challenges still exist. Stability can be fluid.
About the “Errors” You May Find:
MIchelle, does have some challenges with writing, her thought processes, and creating of content that leads to some careless errors, on her part. She is not able to employ an editor or consultant to provide extra review at this time. Right now, she can only painfully notice every mistake AFTER it has been posted live. She does often proofread her own work before AND after it is published live. She is, also, working hard to learn how to appropriately edit the site.
Note: She is for the Oxford comma AND presently unable to stop the double-space after end-of-sentence punctuation. Unbreaking THAT habit is not particularly a high priority to her at this time. Please, prepare to burn her at the stake for that, as you will!
